This set features olive green, natural (found) sea glass, with carved (or etched) agate beads in a dark tomato red color that pairs well with micro-faceted garnet gemstones and tiny Swarovski crystals that dangle from pure silver nugget charms. Ear wires are handcrafted with over sized silver nugget, hammered ends.
Are you interested in drilling your own sea glass? I have written up some helpful tips here: http://earrings-everyday.blogspot.com/2015/10/drilling-sea-glass-my-experience-by.html
I can imagine it's not easy to match bits of sea glass and how exciting it is when you do!! Beautiful Earrings!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's what makes these pair of earrings so unique! Your skills and the rare matching pair of sea glass. A treasure.
ReplyDeleteI love love the colors here, Cindy! The contrast between the deep red and the olive is superb, and the dangling garnets add the cool movement. I find silver so much more difficult to work with than copper. You work it so well. And thank you so much for taking the time to offer the tips for drilling sea glass. My drill bits still sit in the package they came in. :) Great earrings, Cindy.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, you're exactly right, those little sea glass shards are just perfection! And my favorite color, too. Beautiful whimsical pair!
