Medieval Spring

Medieval Spring
I had an idea some time ago for a beadcap made of two strips of metal, riveted together. Here is my thought experiment made reality! I couldn't figure out how to fasten them together (while avoiding soldering) until I discovered tube rivets. I love the medieval feel they have. I chose hollow lampwork globes by Alisha White in a taupey-mauve to debut my little medieval caps, and combined them with pearls and Czech glass in a fresh peridot green. Springy!

 I picture them with a drapey gown, vaguely medieval (with a touch of 1930s Hollywood glam):

    Great idea! I love tube rivets and will be doing about thirty of them this week for a project! Those hollows are da bomb! Enjoy the day. Erin
