Mayan Headdress

I've been playing with scratch foam again lately and these copper components are some of my favorites.
I like the shape and I put a holes where they are so beady goodies could be dangled from the center
and I love way they look.

I didn't realize until after I created these earrings how much they look like a Mayan Headdress.
I think I'll be playing with this idea much more.
Beautifully Tribal!

  2. I love this configuration too! The downward pointing crescent with a hanging element underneath it. I've sketched something like this over and over but never made them. I love the rustic quality of these--like you stole them from a museum!

  6. Beautiful Kristi! The little glass dangles were meant for those crescent moon shapes. I totally see the headdress relation too! Lovely rustic appeal!
