Garnet Inspiration

Hello Bloggers! My name is Cindy Pack and this is my first posting here on Earrings Everyday. I am a bead maker and jewelry designer with Cindy's Art & Soul Jewelry. I am thrilled and honored to be a part of this wonderful group of artisans.

The earrings I am sharing today feature handmade components. The ear wires are sterling silver with soldered closed loops. I have been obsessing lately about my ear wires and making sure they are closed in some way.

The silver charms were created with pure fine silver. Hand cut from sheet and then textured with fabric, run through a rolling mill.

I added in tiny fine silver hoop rings to contrast with the square charms.

And finally deep red micro faceted garnet stones-- because there is a few days left in January, of course!

These earrings have a lot of style and I imagine them as dressed up. But that's the beauty of silver-- it can be dressed up or casual. Garnets with their deep red color and faceted surface can make a casual outfit feel that much more stylish. These earrings are brand new and listed in my Etsy shop!

I found this lovely collection at Polyvore that I felt was a good match for this set. I love the black, white and red combination. Enjoy!

  4. Welcome, Miss Cindy! I love that you obsess about details like your ear wires. I have a wish to make my own but I seem to always make mismatched ones and they never look nearly as fine as yours do! These are beautiful earrings and a lovely inspiration. Enjoy the day! Erin

    1. Oh- my ear wires are not perfect, trust me. I try to get them evenly matched as possible but you know that's impossible. You just try and that's the beauty of them, you know they are hand crafted. :-D Thanks so much! You know I am a fan of your work Erin!
