Purple and Yellow....

or what I was working on before my power went out and my basement flooded!

I have just changed my enameling torch and am finally getting some gorgeous colors.  Have been creating some pretty layered flowers, and these colors really jumped out at me!  Embossed and enameled copper, these remind me of purple and yellow dahlias that my Momma used to grow.  Perfect for autumn!!

I'll have them in my shops later on...if you can't wait, email me!!  Hope all my East Coast friends are safe!!

  4. Oh, those are so pretty! Great colors and coverage! I'm curious -- what torch did you switch to? I was planning on buying a different kind of torch for enameling this week. I'm having a hard time getting good results with the torch that I am using.

I'm sorry about your basement. Hope your family stays warm and safe.

  5. Love the earrings - hate the news about the basement! Hope everything dries out quickly and that nothing crucial got ruined. Stay safe!

  6. Thanks all, for the well wishes! Bailing out the basement to see how gross it is...power is back on, so hopefully we are on the mend! LeeLu, don't be afraid of the torch...it is your friend!! Shari..I had the red torch Barbara offered in her kit, but realized I had an old Hot Head, from my days of thinking of becoming a lampwork artist! It gives me such better colors and coverage!

  10. Thank you, Melissa, for answering my question! I appreciate it! I am using a Hot Head torch, so I guess I need to keep practicing! I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but mine don't look as pretty as yours! Practice, practice, practice.....!

  11. They're absolutely beautiful Melissa. I'm so sorry about your basement - we had a bit of water in ours back in June and had to pull the flooring up (of course, it never had water until we finished the basement.....). I can't imagine if it actually flooded.
