Feeling Foxy

Is there anything cuter than a little curled up sleeping fox? Probably not a whole heckofalot cuter than that. Foxes are everywhere these days in the Artisan world. I picked some of my favorites over on Pinterest as some of my inspiration for these sweet earrings. Handmade Sleeping Fox beads dangle below some interesting and colorful lampwork glass and brass discs. I used teal blue linen cording to string the beads. Rounded darkened bronze ear wires finish these nicely. You can find these in my etsy store.

Silver and Gold Modern Earrings

A little sparkle for the holidays in silver and gold.  The sterling silver ear wires are simple and elegant and all that is needed to show off these handcrafted golden branch beads.

Dress them up or down with a clutch:

I'd sport them with a textured clutch with a silk ribbon flower from Kelley's Keepsakes for a daytime holiday gathering.

But if it was an evening party I might pair them up with this silver silk and mustard yellow ribbon, wrapped up like a little gift, from AO3 Designs

Winter Branches

A pair of simple earrings with a mix of icy winter branch beads and a some fun bean shaped glass beads in a dark chocolate brown.  Snowflakes and a hot cocoa anyone?

I'd so love to pair it with some lovely knitted snowflakes like the ones on this silk and mohair scarf.  I may need to buy this for myself for Christmas, it's calling my name.

Driftwood Earring Holder

Another earth-friendly earring holder - a piece of driftwood with eye hooks.  This would look so lovely paired up with some urchins or shells on a dresser. This clever idea came from Salvage Sisters.

Earth-Friendly Earring Holder

When I saw this on Pinterest, I couldn't get over how cute and clever this simple earring display is - made of cardboard no less.  So if you are ever in a pinch for an earring holder - here you go!

Forever Enchanted

When I spotted these wooden tile charms that my friend Janice (of JLynn Jewels) made, I knew I had to have them! I love the colors, love the birds, and love how they are wood burned for a gorgeous finish. You can see more of these tiles HERE. They are super lightweight too!

I could see myself wearing them with this ensemble...
Mmm..definitely craving a mocha latte now! A trip to Starbucks is in order, I'm thinking.

You can view these earrings HERE.

Flight of the Bumblebee

I thought I'd share a pair of earrings from my book, Jewelry Designs from Nature

Although the season for honey bees has passed,  I like this pair for it's earthy autumn color palette. The wire petals with tiny seed beads adds a nice frame for the bee and a fun visual element without adding weight to the design.  See more inspired by nature designs on my blog, http://www.humblebeads.blogspot.com/.
