Eclipse of the Sun

Since my father passed away a couple of weeks ago, my head has been in a meditative state, and I have not been able to muster up the energy to create anything new...

So, yesterday, I sat down with my stash of Artisan Lampwork Glass Beads to see if anything would catch my eyes, and all of a sudden, these caught my gaze and I knew I had to do a pair of earrings with them:

I just loved that hint of Sun Gold mixed with the Eclipse Blue... my dad was color-blind and could only see 'yellow/gold' in terms of colors. I know that these would have caught his eye :)

Blue Tourmaline in a fancy cut, lovely Artisan Glass Beads from a Canadian Artist, and pretty Freshwater Pearls... These earrings are listed HERE on my website.

My apologies for not writing a longer, more inspirational post. I'm just trying to heal from this devastating loss in my life, and not back in my 'groove' yet with my mind :(

Have a blessed day, and thank you for stopping by...

  2. Beautiful, Nathalie! I love these dark hues with the gold tones--I'm sure you think of your Dad whenever you see gold--if you can only see one color, it's a good color to see! We all appreciate so much your dedication to our group here, even when you're carrying around a broken heart, and are glad to see your creativity flowing--for us creative types, that is a renewing thing! I wish you rest, comfort, and healing balms for your soul in the days to come.

  4. I am so sorry for your loss, Miss Nathalie! I am sending you waves of love and light. I love your earrings. They feel very meditative to me, like the ohm sound in a visual. These would have worked well for the We're All Ears challenge this month too! Enjoy the day. Erin
