They look like those woven tapestry ribbon to me. And I happened to find matching beads in my stash as well. I find them girly but with a pop of color. Sweet serendipity.
Maybe I was influenced by the Pantone 2013 color palette (although not all the colors in my earrings are represented here... or are they?). I actually did have that Lemon Zest color, but I pulled them because one was lighter than the other. I must have been diluting the paint at that point. And I actually do have a color close to Linen. But I am still trying for that Poppy color. Mine is more rust. Still... I made all these before I even spied the color forecast. A true happy accident.
I am feeling generous. I would like to give away one of these pairs of earrings to one random commenter. You pick the Pantone color and I will make them just for you! My next post is scheduled for January 22nd. I will announce a winner of any one of these earrings on that date.
How about multiple ways to win? I like the number three, don't you? Each comment is one entry up to three per person will be considered.
1::FOLLOW Earrings Everyday and leave a comment that you do.
2::SHARE Earrings Everyday with your peeps: tweet, Facebook, blog, skywriting, smoke signals, sandwich board, billboard... pick one and tell me what you did.
3::SELECT your favorite Pantone color from this palette. Or combination. What colors speak to you? What are you most surprised to see here? Is there a color that is growing on you? Do tell!
And do be sure to have a way for me to contact you to arrange your prize. I will announce the winner on January 22nd!

Very cute earrings! I like the Monaco blue and will share this post with my twitter pals ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower of Earrings Everyday.
ReplyDeleteI like the 4 cool shades of Pantone colors that are grouped together on the left side of your image. I think those colors would look awesome dyed together on yarn. Hmmmm, maybe I'll have to try that!
ReplyDeleteLovely earrings! Love the African Violet, thou the Nectarine is gorgeous also!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower :)
ReplyDeleteI love these, all of the colors are beautiful. I think I'd pick the nectarine, but it's very hard to decide on 1 favorite.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these earrings, especially the turquoise hued ones and the purple ones and the blue and the orange! Goodness, I love them all!
ReplyDeleteI honestly can't decide on a favorite Pantone color. I love color in general, so it is really difficult. Today, lemon zest and nectarine are calling to me. Tomorrow, it will be different colors. That is one of the wonderful things about being an artist; we see beauty in a new way every day!
I have been a follower of Earrings Everyday since it first launched-love it!
ReplyDeleteI shared this post on my FB page. :)
ReplyDeleteYour earrings are beautiful! I love the shape as well as the colours and the texture. They remind me of little tiles, a little bit with a morrocan touch!
ReplyDeleteI would love to wear the one with the light blue shade. Even if the panton palette refers to a dust blue (which is also beautiful) I think it is a little bit more to the side of a rich turqoise. But I love both colours! :)
Thanks for the chance to win!
And of course I am a follower :)
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic!! I LOVE the green! Too bad I am not eligible to win, I would totally wear these! That reminds me...I guess I was suppose to post yesterday... I need to get back to work! lol
ReplyDeleteI love this blog! I've gotten a lot of inspiration from you ladies and look forward to every post!

It's very hard to choose a single favorite or single favorite combination so, I'll just tell you what is speaking to me at this particular moment (could change in a flash!).
ReplyDeleteI think that Poppy Red, Lemon Zest, & Nectarine are wonderful together because they make me think of summer on this gray, overcast day.
Thank you for the chance to win a pair of earrings! I would love emerald, dusk blue, or African Violet--a surprise would be nice. :)
I am a follower too. The 'rust' one is winking at me! ;) (I am from HundredColors.blogspot.com)

I have just posted an update about this on my blog here : http://hundredcolors.blogspot.com/2013/01/blog-post_8.html. Thankyou!
ReplyDeleteHello again!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say that orange is slowly growing on me. Tangerine Tango was last year's color of the year & it helped to push my designs into untried colors...though I'm still shy of bright yellow.

ReplyDeleteAs for the Pantone colours, I'm a sucker for shades of purple so I'm immediately drawn to African Violet, perhaps with a pop of Lemon Zest or Nectarine. But the 3 different greens are also lovely colours and ones I can see myself using.
ReplyDeleteI am already a loyal follower of Earrings Everyday :)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous earrings, Miss Erin! I'm particularly taken by Emerald and Moroccan Blue, but all of them make me happy.
ReplyDeleteAs for combinations, I'm going to do the unexpected and go for Moroccan Blue, Poppy Red, and Nectarine. Those three together are totally speaking to me.

ReplyDeleteAnd my favourite Pantone shades are grayed jade, linen and poppy red. I think they'd look pretty sweet together too! Gorgeous earrings Erin, I love the texture coming through the brass.
ReplyDeleteI've just started following.
ReplyDeleteAnd I shared on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteI love the linen and the african violet but I've got a bit of a thing for deep, inky, indigo shades at the moment so today I'd say the Monaco Blue is my favourite. And the blue earrings are particularly lovely!
