Glammed up Eyes

Hello.  Flowers and sparkly cup chain for eyelashes anyone?!
They might be a bit heavy to hang on the actual eyelashes (yikes) so I have these for our lobes instead πŸ˜†

I've painted the brass 'evil eye' frame in rose gold, pinks and gold.  I wrapped cup chain of various lengths to the bottom...to make them more interesting.  I added the beadwoven section to the top

Yellow crystals to make the eyes sparkle

Hanging view.

So there you have it.  My glammed up eyes - will be available next Saturday (30th) in The Jewellery Show FB group.

See you soon.

Just Because

I decided to go all glamorous for today's post.  Perfect for winter (my favourite season).

First up are my wire wrapped hoops but on a much bigger scale, topped by cute little ceramic birds by Caroline Dewison.

Another view.

Then there are these.  I had to find a way to include a rainbow :D Here I have wire wrapped brass triangle frames with cup chain, stacked with silver plated brass, raw brass caps and Czech glass flowers. I'm making more of these btw ;)

Another view.

These will be listed on Etsy shortly.  Have a lovely weekend everyone.,  See you soon with my last post of the year.

🌟Shine like a star🌟

⭐⭐⭐Hello⭐⭐⭐
Have you guessed this week's theme yet?!  Clue is in the title ;).
So today I bring you several pairs of star studded ear candy.

Group shot of some of them.

This was the first pair I made featuring Invicit pewter stars.  I blinged up the stars with rhinestones, added vintage brass triple star stampings on top for that mixed metal look that I absolutely love.  They are finished with lampwork caps (GlassNatalyaDarlin) and brass hearts.

Second pair features Inviciti's Lady in moon charms along with lampwork butterfly lentils by Helen Chalmers and my wire wrapped hoops.

I made a third pair with Inviciti hands (those Invicit charms are addictive!), added teeny brass stars to keep with the theme, finished them with antique silver plated brass leaves, crowns and lampwork caps.

And finally this pair with Scorched Earth discs.  I didn't add much to these, they looked pretty glamorous just with sari silk and cup chain so I resisted the urge to add more.

I also made this pair with my painted resin daggers but I'm not too sure about these.  They may need a makeover.

You can find out if these did undergo a makeover in my show on Monday where I will be listing this star studded lot.  My show will take place in The Jewellery Show FB group.
Thanks for stopping by.  See you again soon.

✨ Bringing the Bling ✨

Hi, everyone!  This week, I made earrings that pushed me right out of my comfort zone.   Yes, I did--and on purpose too!

Helen Backhouse's hand-painted polyclay leaves always take my breath away, and these particular leaves are so long and stunning that they seemed to call for something dramatic.

So I went for it!  These earrings are looong (a little over 4 inches).  They feature AB rhinestone rondelles, sparkly 12-mm aqua blue crystals topped by small leafy bead caps and little blue zircon crystals, fabulous spiky double bead caps, and clusters of blue zircon and bright yellow Swarovski crystals, dangling from teal anodized niobium jump rings.

One wonderful thing is that, being made mostly of thin leaves of polymer clay, the earrings are very lightweight and kind to tender earlobes.  Another wonderful thing?  I absolutely loved making these!  Who knew bringing the bling could be so much fun?  πŸ’—

Thanks so much for reading!  I'll be back with more to share in two weeks.

xoxo

Stars!

It's all about stars this time.

I made the wire wrapped hoops for my components show but decided to keep them for me to use in my own jewellery (as you do sometimes).  I added cubic zirconia crown caps (absolutely love this stuff!) and a couple of clear glass flowers on top. I don't think they needed anything else.

I loved making the first pair so much I went ahead and made a couple more.

This time in my favourite red and turquoise with raw brass crown caps

And a third pair in everyone's favourite colour purple.

I finished off by making this statementastic pair with enamel stars by Bea Stoertz, daisy flowers by Elise Canning and my wrapped rings.

Another short and sweet post for you.  Hope you like them.  The 4th pair has sold but the rest are available in the Earrings Show group.

See you again in a few weeks time.

Angelfire

In your house, is it the angel or the star on the top of the tree?

When we got married and started collecting our first ornaments for the first Christmas tree in 1992, I found and angel holding a star. And she lights up, too!

Last night I was playing around with some jewelry epoxy clay for another project that is coming on my own blog tomorrow, and I had some left over. So I quickly grabbed the closest bezel I could find and whipped up these light as air earrings. Looking up at the sweet face of the angel with her deep indigo and soft cream-colored robes holding up the lighted star on the top of the tree, I was inspired to name these Angelfire.

They are very blingy! So of course, I had to put together an outfit to match.

Today I am wearing..

Sequined Layered Tank from Lane Bryant
Grey and black striped jersey pencil skirt from Old Navy
Paired with a grey jersey swing cardigan, grey tights and these sparkly shoes...
Glittery Textured Ballet Flats from Old Navy
I think that this might be my new Christmas outfit that brings both the angel and the star together!

Bling

I'm in the midst of planning our holiday party and I have Christmas on the brain! These earrings were inspired by the beads, that I found at Michael's craft store! They have the most amazing coloring and AB coating that I've ever seen, along with this very unique etched matte flower design on them! I created these to go along with a bracelet using the same beads.  Definitely planning to make set for me to wear to my own party! Can't wait!

These are for sale in my Indiemade shop!

Had enough of Bead Soup yet?

I was one of the lucky participants to this last Bead Soup Blog Party hosted by the amazing Lori Anderson. What fun we all had! I am still having fun, since I am still hopping! Not quite done going through all 200 blogs!
These are the three pairs of earrings that went with everything else I made for the hop. What better place to post them than on Earring Everyday! They will all be available in my ETSY Shop if you are so inclined.
Our lovely Heather is back from the bead cruise, so I imagine she will have cooked up some amazing earrings while she was away! So look for her next post soon!

Please stop by my blog for the full Bead Soup post, and for more inspiration!
