Beaded

I made these beaded beads a while back and stacked them with pretty Czech glass beads.

An earring state of mind

As I am not a full time jewellery creator I have to plan my “play-with-beads” days. Usually they are on a Saturday. I make a cup of coffee, take out my bags of (art) beads and boxes of components and findings, take a seat on the dining table and start fiddling with beads.

What I create next will define what I create the rest of the day. That is just how my brain works. When I start my day creating a bracelet, I simply cannot make a pair of earrings after that. The flow isn’t right. I have tried many times but I always can tell. Usually these designs don’t sell and I take them apart. So, I stick to my routine. When the first creation of my play day is a pair of earrings or a bracelet, I stick to that the rest of the day. A few Saturday's ago I was in an earrings state of mind.

On the hunt for art head pins I came across these beautiful head pins of Elasia. The colours are absolutely gorgeous. They combine beautifully with Czech glass (flowers) and brass. The flow that day was particularly good, as I was able to make 4 pairs.

Do you recognize this thought/design process? Or is my brain just working a bit weird LOL. That would not surprise me at all.

Tangerine

I was inspired by this photo on Pinterest and when I found these tangerine Czech beads in my bead stash (I recently blogged about organizing my entire bead stash, check it out here), I knew they would be perfect to pair with these gorgeous Czech flower beads. I made the teardrops out of PMC3 and used waxed linen cord to tie it all together.

I thought Tangerine was a perfect name for these because the little Czech beads look like tangerines and Tangerine by Led Zeppelin (one of my favs!) came on my iPod during the creative process. Ha! Meant to be.

Gypsy Hoops

I love the look of adding ribbon and fibers to earrings and I hadn't done that in quite awhile so when I decided to use these gorgeous lampwork beads (by Bubby & McGurk Beads) that I had been hoarding, I went through my Sari silk ribbon stash first. I added some Czech beads and some dark red coral beads and lots of wire wrapping!

I just love these pretty ceramic flower links by Starry Road Studio. I paired them with Czech beads and faceted Carnelian gemstone beads for a pretty color combination. Perfect for this time of year!
