Sometimes
things in life work out a bit differently than planned. I really planned on
showing you a new pair of earrings today. I even set aside some art beads and
vintage components to play with the minute I had some downtime. It never
happened.
Beautiful
lampwork headpins made by the very talented and inspirational bead artist JulieWong Sontag, combined with lampwork spacer beads from Amy Hall and handmade
copper ear wires by my friend Lucy Haslam of Faerystone.
Thank you for looking and I hope to see you in two weeks, this time with a new pair of
earrings.

Life sure does work out in unpredictable ways.... New is good.... but some creations are worth sharing over and over again. I think these fall into that category. Hope you have some downtime soon and that you can get lost in your beads for a while. xo -- julie
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Julie. What a lovely comment. And your glass head pins are the star in these earrings! And I guess you can relate to the unpredictable ways of life :-) What I wouldn't give for some downtime right now to be able to dive into my stash of beads and just create.... I still have some treasured uglibeads waiting...
DeleteThank you for posting, Janine! These earrings are so lovely, so no disappointment from me! The contrast of metals and variety of colored beads really catch my eyes. :) May peace and tranquil times be near for you! Hugs, Denise
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your lovely comment Denise. The colors bring back happy memories of India. India remains a great inspiration for me. I hope one day to return.
DeleteLove the earrings - why Saraswati though?? Just out of curiosity :) as an Indian myself, Neena Shilvock
ReplyDeleteGood question Neena. Saraswati, on one level because she is the muse of creativity. On a deeper level because of my struggle sometimes to understand the purpose and meaning of life.
DeleteOh Janine-Janine-Janine, you never disappoint, these are just lovely in every aspect, even if they are an older creation, no matter, love to see them all!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww you got me blushing here Lynn. Thank you so much!! I am walking on clouds now.....
DeleteBeautiful beautiful, I love the sort of rustic neutral headpins with the gorgeous vivid Blue and Magenta of the beads! You always make beautiful creative choices!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kristi! I think I'm still a long way apart from having my own recognizable style. But I am so enjoying the travel :-)
DeleteI am curious to see if this will post. I am not seeing any letters as I type! Huh??? Weird. Janine, these are lovely! No matter when they were made. Love the mix of colors with the neutrals, and love the petal beadcaps, or spacers. Love it all.
ReplyDeleteNorbel, your lovely comment is perfectly visible. Thank you!
