Earring Advent Calendar

Tiny paper trees.  Instructions from JulieMarie.

I was looking at holiday decorating ideas and thought wouldn't an advent calendar with earrings for each day be amazing?

If I wasn't moving this weekend I would so do this for my girls, but with pendants and bracelets.  Can you believe my teenage daughters don't have their ears pierced?  What is up with that?  They never seem interested enough to run to mall to get holes poked in their heads!

Or keep it super simple using small white bags and a little twine.

You could also use tiny jewelry boxes or envelopes found at the craft store.

  1. Great idea! Have fun moving into your new Home!

  2. That would be a lot of jewelry. I love those new twists on the advent calendar, the little boxes hanging from the branch are too cool!

  3. Wow, I love the little boxes! Wishing you many blessings & good times with family & friends in your new home!

  4. Such cute little boxes and a brilliantly sweet idea.We are moving this week as well. I think I would rather have a root canal then pack, move, and unpack. Good Luck and I hope everything runs smoothly :)

  5. What a fabulous idea! I'll have to add this to my list for next year (one more thing on the list this year would make my head pop, I think...) Best of luck with your move!

  6. I thought their generation was all about piercings!

  7. That is just so damn brilliant! I have the Advent calendar that my beloved Aunt Charlotte made for my sister and me when we were young. It was a round board covered in felt with a Christmas tree on it. Around the outside are matchboxes that are covered in paper with stickers and with a little plastic jewel inside to decorate the tree. THere is still a few days left for me to think about doing this for my kids! Best of luck with the MOVE!
    Enjoy the day!

  8. Hard to believe that as artsy as those girls are, they are not decorating their ears!

The advent caledar of little " jewels" is such a cool idea! How neat would it be done as a stick style tree stitched in yarn or with real sticks glued on it, then decorated slide out boxes or those craftpaper jewelry tubes decorated with the velvet ribbon covered in "woodsy" stuff like the box that was featured here a few days ago???
