Much as I love being led by the time of year, I do worry about making overtly seasonal pieces, that will, if they don't sell, start to look 'out of season'. Why I made autumn earrings in anticipation of spring, I don't know! But I'd just received these delicious lampwork beads from Bluhealer and I've been loving these red picasso czech glass leaves and I couldn't resist!
Hey ho! If you fancy autumn earrings in spring, you can find them here.
I'm filling in for Kiersten today as she's under the weather. It's all slightly last minute, so I'm afraid it's a bit of a short post. To compensate, I'll leave you with this sonic treat, which popped into my head when writing this. I hadn't heard it for a stack of seasons, but it's still sounding fine!
(something to do with your hands)
Like you I hesitate to make seasonal pieces. And I never do holiday pieces because I don't want them to sit around for the next year. So I try to make pieces that don't scream spring or fall but it's not so easy.
ReplyDeleteYour earrings are lovely. Maybe you can pass them off as red hot summer.....?
I love these Claire! The beads are matched perfectly! I am one of those that does get caught up in the season sometimes. I don't think these are too seasonal though. I would wear these any day! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are definitely wearable year-round, Claire :) Love!
ReplyDeleteCute earrings, and the Zombies are always a plus!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I would wear them all year-round :) I agree, Red Hot Summer sounds like a great name :D
ReplyDeleteAwesome earrings.. love the leaf beads.. :)
ReplyDeleteThose might 'technically' be autumn earrings but those are ones that I would wear year round.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors on these and I agree with some of the others on here that they could be worn year round! Love that song too! An oldie but a goodie ;
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful. I love "fall" colors, but they are good all year 'round!
ReplyDeleteThey make me think of hot August nights...when our temps are in the 90's and the sunset turns orangey-red from the smoke and smog of our fire season. It sounds bad, I know, but it has it's own unique beauty so I mean it in a good way.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE autumn colors, so I'd find a way to wear these wonderful earrings year 'round!
