Farewell Post by Cindy's Art & Soul; Words, Emotions and Jewelry ...

I recently read an article/comment that indicated words don't have a place in jewelry. https://www.artandsouljewelry.com/
I will go out on a limb here and say they do. For me, they definitely do. How about you?

Words have power and wearing them is a way of tapping into that power. Others will read it and they too can be influenced by the positive energy you choose to bring to life.

To breathe it in to absorb the positive nature of all that they hold...

I have used words, positive affirmations and power symbols on my beads and in my jewelry since the beginning. For more on this story I invite you to read my personal blog here: http://cindypack.blogspot.com

Courage & Strength. Rune Earrings. Sold.

Thing is... the written word, be it direct or symbolic (such as runes) can reach us on some deep level that we may not even realize when it happens.

This is why you see words in my jewelry.

If a word holds power for you, wear it!

With all the hate flying around lately, I find myself wanting to put the word LOVE everywhere. To stamp out the meanness/madness

And so it is that I bring you my recent inspirational earrings with LOVE.

Hope and Love, Looking Forward

Joshua Tree 12/2015
As we approach the end of this year, many of us look back in contemplation and reflect. At the same time, we look forward at what's to come.

It was a big year, with lots of shifts and changes. Our country was divided and still is on many fronts. With many people and many issues.

None of us knows what's ahead but we can face it with hope and with love. We can be kind. We can treat one another with consideration and respect each others beliefs.

Mannaz Rune of Higher Self

So many different human beings on this planet. The only way to survive is to embrace or at the very least, accept our differences and work as one.

Maybe I am living in a dream.

Whatever may come, I must stay TRUE to myself. I will live in hope and with love and I will be kind. I will soften my face when looking at passers by. I will smile and say thank you to service people. I will look people in the eye and know that I have done my best. I will try to make this world a better place and keep hope that I can somehow inspire others to do the same.

http://www.artandsouljewelry.com/collections/rune-jewelryIn troubled times people often (as they should) seek out messages of hope. I received a request for hope and love earrings. My thoughts immediately went to Runes. Beautiful imagery reflecting symbols of greater inspiration and meaning, this ancient alphabet still touches our subconscious on a deeper level, in modern times.

These earrings are a riff on a design I first made in 2009 and again in 2011 with mixed metals.

This is my last post of 2016. Wishing everyone much hope and LOVE now and for the coming year. Look for my next post the 2nd Tuesday in January.

Peace

I made these Stylized Peace signs awhile ago in White Copper
but I just decided I needed to make them in Copper and give them 3 holes.
I paired them up with these pretty micro faceted Pink Stones and I love the look!!

They have lovely long Antiqued Copper Earwires handmade by Julie Thelen, that I've embellished with a wonderful Silver Bead and a few twists of copper wire to keep them in place.

I went for mixed metals in this one which I always love!!

I'd love to see these earrings with a super funky Hippy Bohemian outfit like this.

They remind me a little bit of the Bell Bottoms I wore as a young teenager!

These earrings are available

Heart Earrings

Hello!  Let me introduce myself.  I'm Linda Landig.  I'm a longtime follower of this blog and the newest addition to the Earrings Everyday team.
True Love Earrings
Lately I have been dabbling in Polymer Clay and since Valentine's Day is nearly here, I thought I would make a pair of heart earrings.  I textured the polymer clay with a rubber stamp and colored the hearts with layers of chalks and Prisma colored art pencils.

Since February's birthstone is amethyst, I decided to dangle a faceted amethyst on each heart and then I included another amethyst on each of the ear wires.
True Love Earrings
These earrings would look delicious with this outfit and a dark, unstructured jacket.

Hearts & Flowers

I am not a hearts & flowers kind of girl.

Sure. I love to get flowers, and hearts are very sentimental, but I am not that girly.

If I have hearts at all they are going to be grungy and weathered, perhaps cracked and a bit odd.

When I saw these ceramic hearts from my friend LeAnn Weih of SummersStudioBeads, I just couldn't resist. They have a cute puff shape but the glaze is rusty with flecks of black. I pulled out some handmade copper ear wires from my friend Rebecca Anderson of The Curious Bead Shoppe. One of the things I love, but can't seem to master, is handmade earring wires. So I let an expert like Rebecca help me out! Lying on my table were are few of these sweet wood flowers. Would you believe that I bought some clearance stretchy bracelets with hideous plastic beads and multitudes of these wood daisy spacers just to get my hands on those flowers? I love them.

Want to know who else loves them?

Let me introduce you to my brand new earring model.

Say hello to Delia
If you want to know the story behind my new earring model, head on over to my blog in just a short bit for an explanation of who Delia is and how I came to know her!
