Inspiration...

So I was watching the television show "How Do I Look?" and the host, Jeannie Mai, had on a really cool pair of earrings. It was hard to get a good look at them, but I could see a large pearl and some chain. So I decided to try my hand at making a similar pair and this is what I came up with. They are one of my favorite "go to" pairs. You just never know when inspiration is going to hit you!

I'd wear them with this ensemble, of course being 5'9 I would never wear heels that high!

The color of the red agate beads in these earrings reminds me of tomato soup! I love it with the gunmetal color of the nickel beadcaps and the pewter cubes. Handmade sterling silver earwires.

I'm picturing it with winter white (in case you wanted Cream of Tomato soup instead) and denim, with matching tomato boots! I think it has a Victorian flavor.

Nesting Earrings

Two handmade pewter nests wait expectantly under branch disk beads in a dreamy teal.

I love that you can easily spot nests here in the winter.  Most of the birds have flown south and we await their return with the spring blooms in a few months.  I love the change of seasons and the inspiration they bring.  It's fun to anticipate the arrival of what's next, but it's also nice to enjoy the moment and the season that is in front of us.  Wow, that could be said about all sorts of things in my life - good words to live by.
