Amaya

When I spotted these Bohemian Gypsy Soul art tiles by JLynn Jewels I knew I had to have a pair...problem was...which color combo would I choose, there were so many! After much contemplation, I chose this pair because I pictured combining turquoise (of course!) with these and my new love of orange/yellow paired with turquoise. Very pleased with the way they turned out!

I think they would look great with a white peasant blouse like this one found at the rusty zipper.

Wild Flower Earrings

These earrings were originally going to be much simpler.  Just the gorgeous lampwork beads by Judith Billig and the ceramic charms by Joan Miller.

But as I was putting the first earring together, my eyes fell on those turquoise Czech glass flowers and I began to wonder if they would nestle nicely into the top hole on the ceramic charms.  They did!  The brown markings on the charms remind me of a vining plant, so the flowers just seemed to belong with them.  And then I added the three little, orange, matte glass beads, all knotted on brown Irish waxed linen.
The colors in these earrings and the flowers remind me of the wild flowers that bloom on the lower slopes of Mt. Rainier in the late summer.  The ground is carpeted with a riot of low growing flowers that amaze me every time I see them.

The "Wild Flower" earrings are available at Linda Landig Jewelry

Luminita

I've had these lovely porcelain charms by Round Rabbit for years now (I can't be the only one who hoards these things, right?) but since I am so hooked on using Irish waxed linen here lately, well...inspiration (finally) struck on how I wanted to use them.
You will find this pair available on my website here.

Bohemian Spirit

I have had these bohemian teardrops from Vintaj FOREVER. I've kind of been hoarding them until inspiration struck, I guess. Well, it finally did.

You will find these earrings available for sale HERE.

I would wear with them with this ensemble that I created on Polyvore....

Funky Blossoms

Even though my husband makes lampwork beads, I do buy lampwork beads from other artists on occasion and I have some favorite bead makers. Nikki Thornburg is one of them and I am happy to call her a friend as well. I bought these at the last show I attended a month or two ago along with several more of her fun beads and pendants! You can check out her Etsy site Thornburg Bead Studio and find some of her colorful work there.

Tribal

The rustic tribal look is really popular these days but not something that I do very often, but when Jana (Happy Fish Things) sent these to me, I had to give it a try! I thought that these lampwork beads by Bubby & McGurk Beads paired nicely with the drops with their shades of green and cream.

Mayra

And here I go again pairing turquoise with orange! I can't help it...it just happens. Do you have any color combinations that you find yourself frequently going with? I went to a bead show lately and my husband teased me afterwards when I showed him my stash. It consisted mainly of blues and greens with some orange thrown in for good measure.
I love these clay charms from Stinky Dog Beads. If you haven't checked out Kitty's online store yet, you should do that soon. You won't be disappointed.

Victoria

I love the look of these medallion connectors from AD Adornments  and I wanted to pair them with something sweet and delicate so I chose Czech glass pansy beads in a lovely shade of lavender. I used Irish waxed linen cording to tie it all together.

Persimmon Blooms

Even though it's officially Autumn, these flower beads really inspired me to stop what I was doing when I received them in the mail and head into the studio. They are a gorgeous color! I always love opening my packages from Karen at Arte Bella Surplus! I'm never disappointed. If you haven't checked out her Etsy store, you should!

Autumn Blossoms

I'm getting so excited about Autumn...I just can't wait to decorate my house inside and out...white pumpkins, orange pumpkins, Cinderella pumpkins, gourds, Indian Corn...and the list goes on and on. I guess for now I will just have to be satisfied making Autumnal jewelry because I won't be decorating for another week or so. I made these copper teardrop pieces with Copper Clay and I used Irish waxed linen cording and some gorgeous Czech glass beads.

Here's a peek at some of my Fall decor last year...(and yes, I know that I go a bit crazy with it)

And here's a better look at my Autumn Blossom earrings which you can find for sale here.

You will find more Autumnal pieces on my website here.

Sun King

I always have my iPod on while I am in my studio creating and I had to laugh while creating these because The Beatles, 'Sun King' came on and I immediately thought to myself, "That's the name!". Love when the happens because often times I struggle with a name. A few months ago, my mom was going through old jewelry to donate or throw away and these sun charms were on a pair of earrings so I scooped them up and now I'm glad I did. Recycled into these beauties. The lovely ceramic drops are by Happy Fish Things . Have I mentioned how much I love Jana's work? It's lovely, you should definitely check out her Etsy shop.

Orange Blossoms

I recently acquired these gorgeous Czech flower beads and immediately wanted to pair them with Turquoise (that's becoming a habit-put down the turquoise already!). I have also been using a lot of the waxed cording in my jewelry lately and I'm loving the look of it although I need to learn more than 3 knots at this point. :P
You can find these earrings for sale here on my website .

I also made a coordinating necklace, it's available here as well.

Don't forget next Friday is our reveal day for the "We're All Ears" June inspiration challenge.

Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!

Peace Signs

I have a thing for peace signs and I love wearing them, be it a t-shirt, a scarf or a pair of earrings...they are always "in" with me. I made this pair last night using Bubby & McGurk head pins, Czech glass and Magnesite beads. The Irish waxed linen cord is from Ornamentea.

Here's a casual outfit that would look great with my earrings....
