Orange Polymer Clay Earrings with Turquoise
After an especially cold and snowy winter, visions of Spring Break are dancing in my head. My vision of Spring Break is definitely a toned down version, without all of the hedonism of youth. Just laying on a beach soaking up the sun, relaxing with a fruity tropical drink, and recharging my creative batteries - that's what we all need this time of year!
To capture that mood in my earring design, I use orange polymer clay charms that I have stamped with a sun pattern and colored with gilder's paste to add dimension. To the charms, I added nuggets of turquoise and Greek barrel shaped copper beads, that are stacked and wrapped with copper wire.
My sunny vacation is only in my thoughts for now, but soon . . .

ReplyDeleteThink these earrings would put a smile on many faces of those who have suffered under this winter weather!! They are a ray of hope and sunshine!
ReplyDeleteIt is snowing again here. And I just heard that the Farmer's Almanac predicts that we will get 31" of snow in March. Gah! The opening day of baseball is supposed to be played on our diamond in a month. Bah! Not happening! This makes me long for a beachy vacation. Fun! Enjoy the day. Erin
ReplyDeleteBeautiful earrings and perfect outfit to go with them. I love your pc components!!!
ReplyDeleteLove these! Love how the pattern on the polymer echoes the bumps on the Greek beads (those are fab). (Awesome charms, I'm so impressed!) These are all about Aegean Island Getaway!!!
ReplyDeleteVery sunny and cheery especially in all of this gloomy weather we have been having. A welcome "break". Love them!
