Butterscotch and Seafoam?

I was going through my stash of Czech glass beads a couple of days ago, you know, just lookin', fondling, thinking!  I spied the tiny little daggers with a Picasso finish..the little splashes of blue, in a hue somewhere between teal and mint...seafoam(?) and they started screaming at me to use them!  I wove tiny flowers with copper wire, and thought, "sweet", but decided they needed something else.  Luckily, in the same box of beads, were these larger leaf beads in that same butterscotch yellow family.  I love the sort of milky, not quite transparent, but definitely not opaque, quality they have. So, I wove flowers from them as well, and attached the smaller flowers to dangle beneath.  I finished them up with my sterling and copper earwires, patinaed them with liver of sulfur, and polished them up, but they were sort of blah...I mean, they were cute, but they were definitely missing something.  I tossed them in my "holding" box (one of my many recycled Luncheables trays) and walked away from them.  Yesterday, I was working on a necklace for my sister and noticed some beads I had put aside that I wanted to try to incorporate...I only had a couple, so to make sure I could find them again, I tossed them in the box as well.  As luck would have it, they landed right next to the meh earrings that I just finished.  Pop!  That splash of color was exactly what I was looking for.

I must be thinking of autumn...I can envision wearing these with an oversized sweater, jeans and boots!
