Chrysanthemum Earrings

One of my Pandemic Projects has been cleaning and organizing my studio. It had gotten so bad that I had no space in which to work. Oh look! I've organized one corner!
I won't share any other studio pictures, as the rest is still a disaster zone. I'm taking it step by step, otherwise the task is too overwhelming. Anyway, while I was cleaning, I found a pair of earrings that I had started, but never finished. So I finished them up in time for today's post.
The copper shards are the work of Kristi Bowman Designs. They remind me of the rays of petals that circle the center of chrysanthemum blooms. I used enameled headpins by Sue Beads to wire on a pair of carved fluorite flowers. The fancy copper ear wires are by wire wizard, Joan Langmo.
The Chrysanthemum Earrings are available on my website.
Do you have any Pandemic Projects you're working on? Let us know in the comments. Stay home and stay safe friends!

Nova

I fell in love with these ceramic pieces from Majoyoal as soon as I laid eyes on them. I thought I would give waxed linen cording another try this week and I'm glad I did. At first I was upset that I didn't have two purple Fluorite beads, but now I rather like how it looks. You can find these earrings here in my shop.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!

Northern Lights

I love Fluorite and I love pairing it with silver! I bought a strand of these pillow faceted gemstones several years ago and I use them very sparingly (some might call it hoarding!). I oxidized the sterling ear wires, washers and wire with liver of sulphur. One of the things that I find most interesting about using gemstones in my jewelry is the healing powers associated with many of them. Fluorite is known as the "multi-tasking" gemstone. It is what they call multi-dimensional, in that it advances the highest aspect of the mind and balances the negative and positive aspects of the mind and ego which allows one to experience inner peace. Sounds good to me! It is also such a gorgeous gemstone.

Have a fabulous weekend! Oh, and remember next Friday Erin will be posting an inspiration for our monthly "We're All Ears" challenge. This month's challenge was a lot of fun so be sure to check it out.
Thanks,

Pale Tropics

I have been holding on to these pretty floral porcelain charms created by LeAnn Weih of Summers Studio for a while!  I love the pale green glaze with just a hint of blue in the depths.  They are so sweet ...to me they didn't really need anything else...I could just put them on earwires and call it a day.  I didn't do that, though...I added some pale green fluorite beads that are carved into flower shapes, the wrapped sterling wire around them in a "herringbone" weave for a little extra somethin' somethin'.

I can envision wearing them at the beach or boardwalk with an outfit similar to this I put together on Polyvore.
