Leaves and Berries

My heart is already skipping ahead to fall.  I created these 'berries' from polymer clay and the leaves are hand-forged from copper.  Yep, walking around feeling like Mother Nature - just make leaves and berries out of thin air!

As the summer heats up are you already dreaming of cooler days?  It's okay, it will be here in a blink of on eye.

Until them I prescribe many long walks on the beach, sipping ice tea on your porch, stopping for ice cream, sitting in a cold movie theater watching a summer block buster, jumping through a sprinkler and laying in front of the ice conditioner if all else fails.

End of November Leaf Earrings

The trees are bare now, with only a few leaves as dried husks hanging out before the next big wind comes along.  These earrings remind me of my wild country side as we wait for winter to spread its white blanket across the earth.  The colors are stark, dry and sometimes surprising.

The berry beads are created from polymer clay with tiny pieces of silver leaf speckled throughout. The pewter leaves are created by artisans from Green Girl Studio.  You can find the earrings and bracelet in my Etsy shop.
